White Horse moved me 2 weeks ago, and they were excellent. Three guys did all the packing, quickly and efficiently, and were very friendly and helpful. They moved everything in the same day, and placed all the items where I needed them in my new flat, with no damage and everything clearly marked.

Their quote was the best I got, and the whole job done for no extra costs. I would strongly recommend them and will certainly be using them next time. Many thanks.

The administrative staff were professional, however the moving and cleaning team were a disappointment. The person who came to do a survey didn't calculate correctly the size van that they needed and we were asked to leave part of our belongings behind, which in the end we had to do.
We were told that the jobs would be done by 1pm, but movers finished at 2pm, and cleaning team after 2:30pm, which delayed our departure (We were moving 460 miles away). We had to reschedule twice on that day our Estate agents visit to check the flat because of the delay finishing their job.
On the day of the move we were asked by one of the movers to pay the remaining of our bill in cash, when we had agreed with the Office Manager to do so by bank transfer. The mover still insisted to get it in cash, which we didn't do. We found this a bit weird.
Shelving unit disassembled in the street quite roughly, at some point using their feet to do so.
Part of our belongings were packed in our clothes basket and in a box were we used to keep a car battery starter pack, instead of using the removal boxes. We only realised that the battery starter pack box was full of books when we decided to dispose with it.
Coats mixed and tangled with other items in boxes.
Boxes wrongly labelled: a box labelled as Books contained DVDs and a coat; a box labelled as Kitchen contained hallway stuff etc.
We asked the movers to place the boxes in the new house in the same room as the old house (kitchen to kitchen, bedroom to bedroom etc). After 10-12 boxes they left everything in the living room, possibly because 2 of the rooms were upstairs, although we had paid to move anywhere above ground floor. The movers looked tired, possibly because they drove the 460 miles overnight, slept one hour (or so they said to us) and they were driving back the 460 miles again straight after unloading our belongings.
Wrongly labelled boxes and boxes in the wrong room caused for the unpacking to be a nightmare.
Most of the boxes had space left as our books are heavy and the boxes would had become too heavy, but nothing was added to the boxes (paper, bubble wrap) to keep them secure, other than our coats and cushions in some of them.
Our vacuum cleaner was placed in the van without protection and arrived broken. As we don't have a receipt they won't pay for it, although they told us they had insurance for up to £25,000. I emailed pictures of vacuum cleaner, model and price in the manufacturer's website. They have agreed to settle for £25 (half of the price) because of "the age of the vacuum cleaner" and the lack of receipt. Still don't understand why would they pay part of it without receipt but not the whole.
We felt that we were a nuisance to them on the day of the move, as if it was our fault that they chose the wrong van size, wrong number of movers and miscalculated the time that it would take them to pack.
We felt that our belongings were not looked after professionally.
The cleaning team had to go to the old flat a second time to clean as the standard of their cleaning the first time around was very poor.
We do not recommend them and we will not use them again.

We originally booked our move with another company. However, a few days before the move we had issues with them and the size of the van they were offering. I contacted Daniel from Whitehorse with only a few days notice. He had already done a valuation of our flat and was very honest in the size of van we would need.

Daniel and his time arrived on time on the day of the move and packed everything with incredible speed. They were done at least an hour before we expected.

We couldn't get keys to the new property until late in the afternoon and they were happy to wait. Even though there was a mistake with the quote (the person who quoted thought we weren't taking white goods when we were), they didn't try to charge any more.

Our move was completed efficiently and everything arrived safely and undamaged. The team were friendly and polite and we would recommend them.

Service cost: £460

It took 2 days. 1st day 2 guys come over and pack most of the things. 2nd day they pack the rest and start moving it to a van.
They didn't do room by room but rather organized it around how things fit into a van. All went fine and I think that everything was unloaded and re-assembled together by 5pm. Only a few things that were not 100% was that they packed literally everything. Like a remote doorbell, keys from windows, moth traps (used). But I guess that was up to us tell them what we don't want to pack with us.

Service cost: £1200

The White Horse team arrived an hour late! But there was a lot of traffic in the area.
The Van supplied was too small. They under estimated.They asked us to get another van (at our expense) or use our own car. It is only because we insisted that they got another van. We've been told several times that it has had to come out of their own pocket. Well you should you made the error. Your supposed to be the experts not us.
We were told it would take 3 hours to pack and load. They arrived at 10.00am and at 16.30pm some of our items that could not fit in the van were left outside because they had to wait for the second van. We were supposed to be out at 14.00pm!!
They left a lift going up and down with the furniture in it. They had no idea they had left it.
Items in boxes that are labelled incorrect because they had to rush to pack and get out because the new owners came for the keys at 14.00pm and had to request them to be out by 16.00pm.
Only 1 x hanging box provided because they were out of stock, so all our clothes are in several boxes in different rooms. Eg MB in the lounge.
They have broken our wardrobe, 2 lampshades broken and 2 squashed. They have offered to claim on insurance but we have to pay £250 excess!! What a joke..for items that total £160.00!
They are a very nice team of guys but unfortunately made our move very stressful.
Would I recommend..NOPE!
Pay the extra and get a firm who will get the correct size van.
Moved from London to Grays, Essex (Not on the list).

Can't recommend White Horse Removals enough. They were professional from start to finish. This was the first time having a packing service. It took a lot of stress out of the moving day and also the run up to the move. I didn't have to live with too many boxes in a small space. I moved from a ground floor flat to a flat o the second floor (no lift), so both removal men had to work really hard on a hot day, but they both were relaxed and smiled throughout the whole day. Thank you.
